I am currently looking for a job. This means I have quite a bit of time on my hands. This, in turn, means I currently read three newspapers, four blogs (regularly, anyway), have an active news feed, and flip between all the news (and, er, sometimes entertainment) channels, and listen to three different public radio stations. Graduate school is over, and I am feeling a bit socially isolated (everyone I know is employed….), so without the constant, multifaceted interfacing and stimulation, my previously über-engaged, dynamic, and constantly firing neurotransmitters and synapses are getting a bit, shall we say, spongy. For this reason, I have decided to exercise my brain in this space. Why? To share my BRILLIANCE WITH THE WORLD! Nah, I just want to keep myself on my toes. Utilize all those policy analysis, research, international development, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and communication skills highlighted on my resume, and all that.
Feel free to comment, feel free to not. This is purely an exercise at keeping my wits about me, and practice my Web 2.0 skills and whatnot. Doing my part to keep the Habermasian public sphere and civic engagement alive, and whatnot.
Cheers!
